Blue jay perched on a branch, colored pencil drawing

About this artwork

The blue jay puffs up its crest and turns its head sharply, as if it has just noticed something on the ground. Ink-like dark outlines hold soft violet and blue strokes on the crest and wing, while warm beige shading gives the white chest its roundness against the pale branch.
