Head on fire with tears, ink drawing

About this artwork

Flames pour up from the head like hair while two tears run down the closed-off face, making grief look like it is burning from inside. Fine pen hatching builds the flame strands and the shadowed skin, set on a flat tan background with faint vertical stripes.
