Hand study sketch in red pencil on cream sketchbook paper

About this artwork

Several hands in different poses overlap across the page, one pointing up and another clenched near the bottom, as if caught mid-gesture. The artist works with a red pencil on cream paper, using light, searching strokes to map out the knuckles, fingers and palm shapes before any shading.
