Portrait of a man with swept hair and hoop earrings, graphite sketch

About this artwork

The soft gray shading on the cheeks and jaw gives this calm, direct gaze a quiet presence. Built up in graphite with loose, feathery hair strokes, a darker collar and light smudged tones on a white page.
