Woman face portrait, graphite pencil drawing

About this artwork

Wide, steady eyes under dark brows stare straight out of a soft, shaded face, with loose strands of hair fading into the paper at the edges. Built up in layers of graphite pencil, the darkest shadows sit beneath the cheekbones and lips while the highlights are left as bare paper.
