Eyes and eyelashes pencil sketch

About this artwork

Two closed and open eyes sit side by side, the lashes swept in dark strokes that suggest a quiet moment of looking away. The sketch is built from loose graphite hatching on pale paper, with the iris shaded in tight dark circles and a few gray smudges lifting the background.
